Organic Brewing in Sweden: Where Heritage Meets Experimentation

Show transcript

My name is Henok Fentie.

I am a brewer and founder of a brewery that works with organic produce,

but also non-organic produce today.

And we are very excited about being able to be craftsmen.

I think what makes Sweden and Stockholm unique in terms of brewing

is that we both have the heritage of the European brewing traditions.

But we're also free to experiment because we don't have that heritage as Swedish brewers.

I think organic produce is something that people associate with a lot of positive values

for the environment.

Organic brewing has a bright future.

In terms of process, we need to keep our organic products

completely separate from our non-organic.

We need to trace when we brew to make sure that nothing is contaminated.

So we are happy that our organic hops actually smell and taste more.

You can sense that in the finished product.

I think organic products that we've experienced working with are very expressive.

Beer is supposed to bring people together and I think this really helps us do that.
