From Milk to Butter: The Danish Organic Way

Show transcript

The milk here in Denmark is very suitable for

butter production because of its very, very high quality and freshness.

The butter process really starts at the farms where the fresh milk is being

collected, then it's being transported into the dairy plant.

And we are able to trace whatever milk product in the final product

all the way back to the individual farms.

Organic butter carrying the organic logo guarantees that the milk,

the raw materials, and thereby the cream

and the butter is produced under the highest

organic standards, which means that it's been produced on high standards for

animal health and welfare.

It's a sustainable production method and it takes care of the surrounding nature

and biodiversity.

The characteristic Danish butter taste, which is very special, and

where the texture is creamy and salty, can be enjoyed in various ways and

are used in all sorts of cooking and baking.

The Danish butter quality is something that's been worked with for

more than 100 years.

And now we have strict quality programmes in place which ensures high quality milk

and cream ready for butter making.
