EU Defence Industry - Ammunition factory, Bulgaria
This report provides illustration photos of the production of ammunition at the largest state-owned military enterprise in Bulgaria, “Vazov Machine-Building Works” (VMZ) in Sopot. The company produces a wide range of ammunition and other defence products. In the photos, we see the production and assembly of ammunition for 152 mm Artillery Systems.
The company recently made a joint venture with German arms producer Rheinmetall who will further develop the existing factory and build new production facilities in the Sopot area, thereby creating jobs and increasing the production of ammunition in the EU.
