Visit of Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, to Romania

On 1 September 2025, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, travelled to Romania and met with President, Nicușor Dan, President of Romania. Together, they visited the port of Constanța and the MK airbase and held a press conference together. Later, they discussed with government and military officials the EU-NATO cooperation as well as prevention, detection, defence and deterrence of maritime and hybrid threats.
