I give the floor now to the Chair of the PFP Group, Jordan Bardella. Thank you, Prime Minister of Canada.

President von der Leyen, well, every year we hear you glorifying what you've done and it seems that Europe is always About to be relaunched,

but if we listen to our citizens, I think the system is reaching an end because in 2026 we currently have two Europes.

We have the Europe of those who write the rules, bureaucrats who waste public money and make up taxes for tomorrow, Europe which wants to increase its expenditure on staff by 40%,

and Private jets for commissioners by 50% and then there's the Europe that has to pay the second Europe,

those who have to pay for a liter of petrol, €2.5 in France, have to pay for heating. They have to pay increasing bills.

Europe that continues to work harder to earn less.

That, essentially, is the state of the Union.

We're going to have the ETS 2 regulation soon and that's going to make fuels even more expensive,

15 cents per liter.

This is something that significantly affects the middle and lower classes,

and basically what you're doing is making life constantly more expensive for our citizens.

What about a worker, for example, who travels 40 kilometers to get to work,

a family that doesn't have a tram or a bus that gets to their home, they're just going to have to pay more and more.

And unfortunately, your Europe isn't just more expensive every year, it also protects us less and less.

This summer in Ceta, tens of thousands of migrants.

Broke through a European border in just a few hours.

Ceta is Spanish and has to remain Spanish, but the borders of Ceuta are also our borders,

and when a border can be flooded in just a few hours, it's not just a migration crisis, it's a sovereignty crisis.

Europe without borders looks as though it's going to disappear. Ceuta, Lampedusa, the border with Belarus. The people of Europe want one thing. They want you to protect our borders.

They want you to send back illegal migrants that are illegally coming to our union.

They shouldn't be spread through our towns and our countryside as you want to see it happen as a result of our migration pact.

They need to go back to their countries.

And finally, let's look at the world around us.

War in Ukraine, war in the Middle East, Islamist terrorism, food insecurity, energy insecurity. The US is investing.

China is investing, and we continue to regulate even more.

We're regulating things that we no longer produce.

We're taxing things that we no longer know how to make.

And we're also taxing things that we've banned the production of in Europe.

That is the major paradox in Europe and that's why we need to change.

We need to build a new European architecture.

We need to put buy European in public procurement.

When the money is European, the jobs need to be in Europe.

When the money is French, the jobs need to be in France.

Let's get rid of red tape, these absurd and useless rules.

Let's protect our farmers and businesses from unfair competition. Let's have national funds.

Let's invest in tech, space, defense, and nuclear energy.

Let's free ourselves from the regressive ideology of de-growth. Let's go back to power and innovation. The 21st.

This reminds us of a truth that Europe had forgotten a people that cannot defend its borders,

cannot produce its energy and feed its children, leaves its destiny to others.

For decades, you've asked people to adapt to your vision of the European Union.

Today, in Brussels, the time has come to change things and give power back to the people.
