This video stockshot provides illustration footage of the production of toys made from bio-based plastics from sugarcane by Danish company Dantoy, a family-run company with over 60 years’ experience in creating high-quality, sustainable toys. In 2018, the company launched its “I’m Green” BIO range, featuring circular bioeconomy products for kids, which contain no toxins and are 100% recyclable. Produced from sugarcane granulates instead of traditional plastics, the products are equally highly durable, encouraging long-term use and reducing waste and resource consumption – a key aspect of the circular bioeconomy.
This stockshot is part of a series aimed at showing examples of the EU bioeconomy sector. The Commission proposed an EU Bioeconomy Strategy in 2025, which aims to build a clean, competitive and resilient European economy. The bioeconomy offers Europe a chance to strengthen its strategic autonomy, replace fossil-based materials, create jobs, and lead the global shift to clean industries.
