Participation of Jozef Síkela, European Commissioner, in the United Nations General Assembly

From 21 to 25 September 2025, Jozef Síkela, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, participated in the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York to promote the Global Gateway strategy as a driving force behind the Sustainable Development Goals. During this week of diplomatic engagements, he strengthened the EU’s international partnerships, notably by signing a major agreement with the WHO to improve global access to healthcare. He was able to reaffirm Europe’s commitment to multilateralism based on sustainable investment and shared values.
