On 1 October 2026, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, travelled to Pristina, Kosovo, where she namely met with Albin Kurti, Kosovan Prime Minister.
On this occasion, Ursula von der Leyen reaffirmed the EU’s support for Kosovo’s European integration, stressing the need for institutional stability, accelerated reforms, economic convergence through the EU Growth Plan, and reconciliation among Kosovo’s communities.
