Thank you, Finbar Birmingham with the South China Morning Post.

A follow-up question to an issue from last week.

On Friday, China sanctioned 14, EU defense companies, added it to an export control list.

At that stage, the Commission spokesperson said they were still assessing the impact.

It was just an hour after the, list had been unveiled. 4 days later, what have you learned?

Just to point out, these are not obscure companies.

The list includes Europe's biggest defense company, RheinMetall, and a whole load of important defense suppliers.

Does the Commission believe that China is deliberately targeting Europe's defense industrial base, and what are the consequences of that? Thank you. Thanks.

I think this is a question for Olof. So let's see, let's test immediately.

Thank you for having us do it at the very start. Yeah, connection is working. Olof is from remote today. Go ahead.

Hi Arianna, can I please just confirm that the sound and visual is OK?

Yes, we see you and hear you perfectly. Thanks, Olof. Super. Thank you. OK, Finbar, thank you for your question.

We don't have any update to provide compared to what Paula said last week. We continue to analyze this in detail.

When we have more to say, we will do so.

As Paula mentioned, the correct, format,

for engaging with China here is the EU China export control dialogue.

So we will use that structure to seek clarification and raise the necessary questions. You have a follow-up, go ahead. I do think.

Paula said also that you would be seeking clarification with counterparts in China and reaching out to companies concerned.

What has happened on both of those fronts over the last 4 days. Thank you.

Thank you for your follow-up, Finbar, and nice try, but as I said, those contacts are continuing, and when we have more to say, I'll be happy to do so.

Other questions for all of on trade matters since we have him connected.

Yeah, come back to the press room and then I go online.
