From 27 February to 2 March 2026, in Lisbon, Portugal, Dan Jørgensen, European Commissioner for Energy and Housing, carried out a visit on energy policies and affordable housing. He was accompanied by Sofia Moreira de Sousa, Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Portugal, António Leitão Amaro, Portuguese Minister for the Presidency, and Maria da Graça Carvalho, Portuguese Minister for Environment and Energy. In the context of electricity network disruptions linked to Storm Kristin, the Commissioner visited the control centre of REN, where issues related to resilience and energy security were reviewed. The programme also included a visit to the Lote 10 residential project, supported by NextGenerationEU. The visit formed part of the European Union’s actions on access to energy and affordable housing.
