It is a great honor to welcome the presidents here, Ursula and António. We've already had some very productive discussions.

Our teams have been working hard, and I just want to say a couple of words about what this means for Canadians. It means affordability. More competition, more choice, easier access.

It means opportunity, opportunity for our youth, opportunity for our researchers, opportunity for our company.

Of course, that holds for Europeans and European companies. And it means. At its base, sovereignty. Greater resilience, ability to withstand shocks together.

And our cooperation from Artificial intelligence to space, critical minerals,

fire prevention, sustainability, supercomputing and beyond will create more resilient. Partnership. Alliance, more resilient jurisdictions.

And because it's the European Union, more resilient world. She hasn't been in bed now. OK.

So thank you, we have, we have, important, discussions for the rest of the morning,

but again, This Base that we've established creates extraordinary. Opportunity for Canadians. Thank you very much.

So dear Mark, it's a great pleasure to be here with you here in Montreal.

Our summits are always historic summits because we have made our history together.

From over the centuries and we will continue.

Our relationship is based on a common vision of the world, mutual trust. And a shared values.

Now we are here to build an alliance for the future.

The most closer, the most deepest,

the most strongest association ever between the European Union and the non-European countries.

Canada is by far the most European of the non-European countries,

and it's very easy to be here with you and to continue to work together.

Not only to strengthen our economies, to give more opportunities for our cities,

our companies, to provide more prosperity to our societies,

but also to work together.

As a partners for multilateralism to uphold international law, to, work for prosperity and fast prosperity in,

in the world, and we will continue to work together together. Thank you very much.

Indeed, it is not so important where a country is on the map.

Important is the values that the country depends on where the country stands in international relations.

And therefore, we are very happy to be at the EU Canada summit.

We know that we want Canada as close as possible to the European Union.

We know that Canada cannot be a full-fledged member of the European Union,

but to have a relationship as close as possible, this is our goal.

There are many topics bilaterally that we will discuss this morning.

And of course, we also are creating a common space together with other trusted partners.

To look at the challenges of today from critical raw materials to resilient supply chains and from artificial intelligence to space,

a lot to discuss this morning.

Thank you very much for having us.

Merci beaucoup, merci. On.
