Indeed, thank you very much to Executive Vice President and to the commissioner.

Let's start with questions here in the press room. Go ahead. The microphone, I'm not sure it's on. Greek is not provided for today.

I'm afraid there is no Greek interpretation provided.

I'm afraid no Greek interpretation is provided today.

Just to flag, we don't have Greek interpretation,

so now we but perhaps in English or or in both if you wish as you prefer you prefer maybe both. Can you do both? Thank you. It's it's a dialogue. Mr. Mr. Mr. I. G. Yeah the canon. To tamu, yada caleria to roam. Joe, Joe, as Mr. Mr. So in in English.

The small scale fissures are at the center of our attention.

The evaluation of the Common Fisheries Policy regulation revealed that we need to further support them. We need a more fair treatment.

And the vision includes measures in this direction.

Let me just mention that, even from the current proposal of the European Commission for revising the MFAV regulation,

There are more favorable conditions for funding for small scale fishers.

Moreover, we are exploring whether we need a change in the legislation regarding the allocation of fishing opportunities,

allocation that might be more.

Transparent and more fair, especially for small scale fishers.

And in the coming months,

we will work on all these levels in order to support the small scale fishers in Europe. Thank you very much. Other questions for us today? Go ahead.

Hi, this is Laura Ferrara from the Spanish news agency FAA a question for Commissioner Cadi.

A few weeks ago you committed to addressing the renewal of the fisheries agreement with the Mauritanian authorities.

I was wondering if you could provide an update of the, of the current status of the negotiations,

and I was also wondering if a renewal is not finalized in time,

would it be possible to extend the current agreement, as, Spain and other, countries have requested. Thank you.

We don't have the mandate to extend the current agreement.

We are trying very much to reach an agreement in through the negotiations with the Mauritanian authorities,

and the day after tomorrow I have a video call with the combent Minister of Mauritania in order to discuss this issue and hopefully we will find some common ground because we know that.

This agreement is of critical importance for the European fishing fleet. Thank you very much.

I don't see, I see one hand raised from remote. Simón Mata.

Thank you for the story and for the briefing. Maria, for rapporteur for me active.

I want to ask the commissioner why you didn't promise concrete amendments to the Common Fisheries Policy, even through secondary legislation.

Do you still need more time for an impact assessment,

and could this still arrive, for example, in the upcoming Commission working program? Thank you.

Well,

the weaknesses that were revealed by the Common Fisheries Policy regulation are addressed with certain measures described in the vision.

But the vision does not exclude the revision of the Common Fisheries Policy regulation.

This is something that we will continue discussing with our stakeholders.

We will see and we will discuss with the stakeholders whether the measures that we announced today with the vision are enough and adequately address the weaknesses revealed by the evaluation. We will decide our next steps.

Thank you very much, I see that Jose from remote has a hand raised. Is it working now? We hear you and we see you. Perfect.

I would like to make two questions, one related to the Vision 2040.

What is the real change, with this strategy related to others, as at least now in the presentation,

it doesn't appear to be a real difference or like a highly ambitious future to tackle the,

the current problems.

And then another question in the conclusions of the European Council of last week, it appears on the energy crisis that the national leaders,

they have, requested to extend the state aid framework for a sensible or yeah,

sensible industries or at least.

Most affected industries, but they don't mention no transports nor agriculture nor fisheries.

Are the current framework for the state aid on fisheries is going to be extended beyond December 31st? Thank you.

Yes, this is something that we are exploring.

And I believe that announcements will be made very very soon on this topic.

We are exploring this possibility in a positive way. Let's put it like this.

The first question,

I think that somebody who will read the Vision 2040 We'll see there a lot of concrete actions.

Actions that aim to address the weaknesses revealed by the Common Fisheries Policy evaluation.

But also actions that satisfy the conditions for success,

as they have been identified through the vision.

Therefore, there are concrete actions that will lead us to our target for 2040 for a sustainable,

resilient and competitive fisheries and aquaculture sector. Thank you. Thank you very much.

I don't see other hands raised from remote, not in the press room either.

Therefore, this brings us to the end of this press conference.

First of all, I'd like to thank the executive Vice President and the commissioner for having been here with us. The interpreters, all of you have participated.

We will be back tomorrow from Brussels with our next midday briefing, and with that, have a nice evening. Goodbye.
