Question, who's suffering? I Warning.
Well, it's an important Moment for Europe to agree on the next 7 years budget.
Not an easy moment because the economy is not doing that great, so having an agreement on the budget on the next 7 years is difficult,
but it has to be done and we have to agree, so all of us have to put emphasis on the main aspects for the Baltics and Latvia.
The most important thing is that we're the eastern flank countries which are incurring the most damage in terms of economy.
The paper of the Commission shows that we cure the biggest impact versus the average in Europe in terms of GDP growth because of as we call it geographical punishment,
but at the same time we do the most defense spending, so 6.4%, that is the highest in the EU.
So, and that happens on a borrowed money, and that is direct fueling of the countries which have military industries,
so we directly buy the military equipment from there.
At the same time, we have the biggest threat on the on the border.
We're still on the 5th year,
we have the record here of pushing back the Russian orchestrated threat on on us on European outside border.
So strong economy can only bring a strong defense, so we can have a good defense on borrowed money at the moment,
but that's not, that's not possible in the long run.
So that's the reason why these eastern flanking countries have to have additional economic support in order to keep eastern European borders safe.
So that's, one of that, we don't want to fuel the Russian war machine, and unfortunately that's happening.
That's why, Baltics have put in a motion up front regarding the grain transit, the Russian grain transit. It cannot happen.
If we are talking about Ukraine supporting Ukraine, and that means financial money from every European pocket at the same time we're not letting Ukrainian economy to gain from what they have the most valuable,
that is grain farm agricultural products, and grain they cannot export because the Black Sea is closed.
And we still letting that happen and Russia is getting its upper hand from transiting the grain through Baltic countries that's putting a big pressure and that is not the way it should happen.
That's why we are putting up the motion that it should be a European wide aspect where we should help Ukraine because that's exactly the money they're missing for this winter. We should execute sanctions.
If we put them in place, we should execute them. Why Ukraine needs more money?
It's because we're letting the ballistic missiles being produced in Russia. Why?
Because 85 companies products are still or components are still found in those missiles,
and those are giving the most damage to Ukraine. That is cost.
That is why it costs more and we're talking about supporting.
The more financially but still letting Russia happen that they are building those missiles and have the capabilities. Why?
Because we have not synchronized the sanctions on the company products which end up at the hands of Russia.
So that is not a good idea to support more money and let Russia build its war capabilities. That is a threat, so.
And we still let Russian individuals travel freely in Europe, so ban on the visas is a must.
We've seen Leipzig,
we've seen arson attack on the Ukrainian or military facilities in eastern flank in Poland the train attack.
It is all going to happen if we still let them in.
Long range sanctions definitely make a difference, and we've seen that it works.
Well, we have to balance first of all we have to look wisely where the money is spent.
One important discussion why we have a discussion of not willing to pay is because the economy is weak. Why it is weak? Energy.
Energy is the fuel for the economy, for export, for production.
If we don't fix that, we all suffer that we don't have the economy.
If we would have a flourishing economy, the discussions would be much easier.
So energy aspect is a must decrease the cost, and we have to do all effort there. That is one.
Second, we should not spend unnecessary money on unnecessary things which we see today. Security in Europe is more important.
So global Europe has 177 billion as put in the budget.
I consider that is not the priority at this given moment if Europe's security is more important than our energy. Well, US is a strategic partner. It's a NATO member. It's the most important NATO member.
So yes, we rely on the support of our allied partner and we haven't seen a difference in the Baltics. We have a very strong relationship.
We have to, we should not let it flow further because first of all,
it's it's a vital winter for Ukraine and if if Ukraine keeps strong, also Europe keeps strong.
If it's not strong, we have a huge issue and that's why we should move forward.
Yes, politically, politically it means that we should think a little bit less about the comfort, a little bit less about ourselves and think further what is best for Europe in general,
not individually so much, and that is just giving, come on, supporting Ukraine is still money.
It is one beer less for 11 European a year, we can afford that, but Ukraine needs it now. That one beer is just the cost.
There it's the cost of life and we drink less, their lives are saved, simple as that. I can't hear you. It's.
Well, I fully support Georgia as it has been our partner since since we became free as well,
so it's definitely.
It should be a discussion point and support,
we know how Russia is affecting areas so but it is hard to give you an answer on this one from this moment.
I will not have a certain response now on Georgian matters at the moment.
I'm not that informed at this given moment to help you there. Good point.
We have seen how Russia is affecting the elections,
how Russia is infiltrating its activities, its propaganda in our daily lives.
I'm very sure and I'm certain Russia had its hands on the Brexit. Why it happened and everybody. Woke up in Britain. Did we do that? Really?
I think Britain should have a comeback to the family, and that was not the will of all the people.
It was orchestrated and helped by Russian activity, and we see how it's happening now. We are fighting too little. And that is a big point.
We're fighting too little propaganda what Russia is doing all over.
Social media today is so easily affected in the minds of the people with the with the new AI.
We've seen Ukraine attack three Yandex centers and suddenly.
The social media is normalized and it's not so much activity and we see how that can push in the wrong direction.
I will not, I don't have a comment on that. Thanks, sorry.
