On 17 November 2025 in the margins of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) meeting, Dan Jørgensen, European Commissioner for Energy and Housing, attended Global the Methane Pledge Ministerial in Belém, Brazil.

This meeting was the opportunity to report progress, recognise gaps, and reaffirm collective commitment to speeding up methane mitigation with existing tools and enhanced global cooperation under the Global Methane Pledge.
