Russia's war on Ukraine continues to cause civilian suffering and widespread destruction.
EU humanitarian aid expert, Yorgos Kapranis, was on the ground to coordinate the delivery of assistance and to assess the needs.
“We try to work with the existing national systems and support them to make sure that humanitarian aid is reaching all the people that need it”, he said.
Since the beginning of the invasion, the EU has provided €230 million in humanitarian funding for Ukraine and €13 million for Moldova.
