On 27 March 2014, Siim Kallas, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Transport, and Mario Monti, former Italian Prime Minister and former Member of the EC, participated in the 2nd Transport Business Summit, which was held in Brussels. Reduced cost, greater flexibility, better access to markets and more sustainable technologies: European transport policy has improved in many ways to create new opportunities for business. The second Transport Business Summit brought together business leaders and decision-makers to discuss how transport can contribute to Europe’s goals for jobs and growth.
