This report provides illustration photos of European military troops and equipment participating in NATO exercises and training missions.

Belgian Air Force F-16 pilots have been testing their readiness in a Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) exercise at Florennes Air Base. QRA is a high state of readiness, maintained by NATO air crews to ensure the safety of Allies’ airspace 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Fighter jets can be airborne within minutes, to intercept and identify unknown aircraft operating within NATO airspace.
