On 10 September 2026, the Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) of the European Commission launched the Security Research & Innovation Campus at JRC Ispra, Italy.
It will work as a collaborative hub where Europe’s security experts, researchers and policy makers can meet, experiment and turn ideas into real world solutions.
By bringing together Europe’s security community to test and co-design new solutions, it will help break down silos and reduce fragmented knowledge, speeding up the innovation cycle.
