The final round of replies.

One minute, Mit Knafo, please stick to time. Von der Leyen. Ms.

Von der Leyen, for almost 7 years now, you have been ruining the Europeans.

Each year coming here asking for more money.

Money that you have taken and then destroyed. You took it from Nikolaus.

He earns €8000 gets 2000, and that's not enough for you.

You take his money when he fills his tank and when he heats his house because you've decided that his fuel needs to be,

needs to be taxed for pollution.

You've increased the price of electricity because the European market obliges him to pay for electricity at the price of gas.

You use him to return the €750 billion you borrowed in his name, and today you're asking him for even more. He never voted for you.

He never had the right to say no. I've researched for a year. I've written a book.

I'm going to give it to you because next time that you come and ask for billions, I want you to know who you're taking them from.

Interrupted, you are on the bench of the accused. You're asking for money. Martin Schirdewan. One minute. Thank you, Mrs. Von der Leyen. I'm afraid you're an exception, really.

Look at what people are paying at the petrol station, for their housing, for their electricity.

You know, you don't seem to be aware of that. And what about industry?

You know, you, you make a comment, but it's almost like a throwaway comment.

You're more focused on the defense industry, armaments, you're talking about digital.

I think that that's actually getting it wrong.

You're making promises to armaments companies, you know, we're talking about.

A policy,

a policy that is actually Runs counter to social cohesion in Europe and it is a destructive policy.

Your policy will not help the working people.

It's actually strengthening the hand of the far right in this house and that is why Mrs. Von der Leyen, this debate has shown.

But you know we don't really need this kind of format for the State of the Union address going forward.

What we need is a future that people find affordable in the European Union. Thank you. Terry one minute.

Colleagues, today I have criticized the President and her plans, and I will continue to do so, as I would with any politician from the democratic spectrum, but after this debate,

I must very clearly say that the far right do not, neither in this House nor anywhere else in Europe,

give any answers to the challenges that are ahead of us. None, 0.

All I heard today were racist, anti-European, spiteful statements attacking the President and the European Union,

while colleagues defending the likes of Trump and Putin in this world.

With these people, no problems in Europe will be solved.

So while we are clear about our differences.

A Europe of the future will only be built if pro Europeans are working together.

So let us fight and let us discuss about the best ideas, but also let us work together to deliver for the citizens of Europe.

It is high time we have to act. Thank you very much.

I welcome your idea to have a very strong cooperation with Canada and I welcome Prime Minister Carney here.

Associate status for Canada is equal to expanding the EU over the Atlantic Ocean,

and this is a very good omen for the security and well-being of our citizens.

But what about the, let's say, domestic expansion of the Union.

New member states from here, from Europe,

I think from this point of view your speech was like holy water in the sense that for example the Republic of Moldova gave us a lot of hope by their referendum to join the European Union and via the elections that they voted in.

Then Iceland was a wake-up call, a very cold, let's say Scottish shower in the sense that they refused to integrate with the EU.

Thank you, the roadmaps and the strategies for expansion.

Become inadequate to the times we are living in unless they are followed by concrete action.

You will always have a partner in this Parliament for concrete actions in order to build the European dream of the candidate countries.

However, Thank you,

it is necessary and it is high time that this Commission deliver on European expansion within this mandate.

Mr Thank you, Ursula von der Leyen, you've said many times that we Europeans decide who comes to Europe,

and yet no more than 6 weeks after your migration pact came into force,

80,000 illegal migrants decided they could come into Europe.

You claimed most of the illegal migrants returned,

but Spanish citizens live in fear of the thousands who remain stealing, raping, and fighting.

You stated not a single person reached mainland Spain or the rest of the EU.

Hundreds have since reached Spain and the rest of the EU. Europeans decide who comes to Europe. Ceuta does not want them.

The majority of this House does not want them. Send them back. The age of open borders is over. The era of deportations has begun.

I give the floor now to Kinging G Gal one minute.

Thank you,

in today's speech you used an awful lot of slogans. It's basically saying nothing, it's theatrics.

And yet today, today we need more action. We don't need words. We need action.

We need to make sure that the promises that we made to our voters are actually met. People have expectations. They have difficult day to day lives. We need to provide for them.

Today in your speech, I'm afraid you completely turned a blind eye to the real problems.

Also, you talked about more powers for the Commission and less for the member states. We need to have sovereign member states.

We need to have sovereign states that can really be active and guarantee the safety and security of their citizens.

Thank you, you also acknowledged that you did whatever you could in order to remove the patriotic government of Hungary from This position and the new government meets Brussels' expectations and of course you praise them,

but at the same time, what's happening is that we're going through the darkest era of communism.

We're talking about a threat to the rule of law.

I'm afraid that this is hypocrisy, if I may use that term, in the to the utmost level.

I think it's time for common sense instead. Thank you. Mrs. Lametti.

We need unity to achieve European strategic autonomy.

We need a strong alliance of pro-European forces in order to provide clear answers to those.

Citizens who are going through enormous difficulty, soaring energy prices,

petrol prices, food prices, they have attained unsustainable levels. We've had a 30%.

30% more expensive food, and yet those who produce the food haven't reaped any of these benefits.

So we need short supply chains, we need stronger producers, we need rules against unfair competition.

And we need to look at labor rights and less dependence on imported energy and other imports.

We need to look at the challenges of farmers.

They need to be at the heart of European policy.

The credibility of the commitments undertaken by you, Thank you, will be measured against the concrete actions that the European Commission will implement,

and we, of course, those groups who support you will support you.

Thank you, Commission President, you started by quoting Dickens.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, and somehow aptly described the debate that followed.

I'm an optimist and I believe when we're speaking about the future of Europe, there is so much that binds us,

and the agenda you presented today should be embraced by a pro European majority,

because giving hope and confidence to citizens also starts from this House.

We cannot inspire citizens if we ourselves cannot move beyond blame games,

and there is so much we can do together, and I like Valerie Hayer's idea of pro European radicalism.

The EPP will take care of the pro European, I'm sure others can provide the radicalism.

Colleagues, the State of the Union is the state we decide to build, and the EPP has a vision of a strong,

competitive and safe Europe, and we have a record of delivering on it, and this is what we will continue to do. Thank you. All right, thank you very much. So this concludes the debate.

Thank you, dear colleagues, we now go to the vote.
