ENERGY - Swedish electricity export cables: Q&A
For Anna-Kaisa. Let's go to Nikolaus. Nikolaus Kurmayer for Euractiv.
Sweden's Ebba Busch has just said, I quote,
the EU should not be allowed to take the Swedish electricity revenues and has announced a full stop to all new electricity cross-border cables.
Is this in line with the EU's electricity regulation?
I understand that there is at least an indicative target for countries to build out interconnectors.
Do you have a comment on that, and, or will you take it forward in some other forum?
We also saw the post of the minister. We now obviously look into it. What exactly would that mean?
I do not have any comment to make to that at this stage,
but we'll be able to give something later and probably also the commissioner.
But overall, the grids package is being negotiated by the co-legislators at the moment,
and we have been hoping for a swift adoption.
We all know how important it is to have it done.
This has been repeated at political level as well many, many times,
but on the particular post by Minister Bush, I do not have a comment to make at this moment. Thank you.
And as Nick rightly reminded me on how to share, other questions for Anna-Kaisa, I forgot.
No, not the case as far as I see. Thank you, Anna-Kaisa. Let's go back to Chandra.
