On 9 September 2015, Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the EC, gave a speech in front of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, on the State of the European Union, to take stock of the current situation of our European Union and to set priorities for the work ahead. Among other issues, the main topics addressed were the Refugee Crisis, and the Imperative to Act as a Union; a new start for Greece, for the euro area and for the European economy; the 315 billion Investment Plan for Europe, with a new European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI); the issue to find a fair deal for Britain; the European Union alongside Ukraine and, finally, leadership in addressing Climate Change.
