Romano Prodi, President of the EC, and Silvio Berlusconi, Italian Prime Minister, met the press after the meeting with the college of Commissioners. During the press conference, Silvio Berlusconi answered the questions regarding his opinions on the differences between Islamic countries and Europe. He referred to those opinions as misunderstands and manipulations by some press interested on the desacreditation of his leadership. Both Romano Prodi and Silvio Berlusconi underlined the need to approach the differences as an added value for Europe, not as a danger.
