On 29 April 2026, Maria Luís Albuquerque, European Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investment Union, chaired the ninth high-level meeting on the European Union’s restrictive measures in Brussels, Belgium. The discussions focused on the implementation of EU sanctions against Russia, strengthening cooperation between Member States, European institutions and international partners, as well as measures to prevent the circumvention of sanctions.
