The port of Constanța in Romania plays an important role for the EU-Ukraine Solidarity Lanes: new and upgraded transport routes to ensure imports and exports continue to flow despite the war.
Initially established to bypass Russia’s Black Sea blockade of Ukraine’s grain exports, today the Solidarity Lanes cover trade in both directions and across all sectors between the EU, Ukraine and Moldova. Long-term, they will also play a pivotal role in further integration into the EU single market and for Ukraine’s reconstruction.
