This reportage shows photos the living arrangement in Vale de Chicharos and the resettlements in the Quinta do Batateiro and Freguesia de Amora neighbourhoods of Seixal.

The Vale de Chícharos neighbourhood is a private property, with constructions dating back to the 1980s. The bankruptcy of the construction company left several buildings unfinished, in various stages of construction. Thanks to the Recovery and Resilience Plan for Portugal and the possibility of realising the project already started, 565 people from 195 families were rehoused between January and July 2023.
