Through the EU’s Solidarity with Ukraine Campaign, EU member states, public institutions and private companies are donating school buses to Ukraine. Thousands of Ukrainian schools have been destroyed by Russia’s war and the journey to school can be long and dangerous for Ukrainian school children. By donating school buses, the EU and its partners hope to ensure safe access to education and restore a sense of normality and safety for Ukraine’s children.
These photos show the buses donated by Sweden and the city of Luxembourg, along with other humanitarian aid products, stored in the EU Civil Protection Mechanism's logistics hub in Suceava County, Romania.
