Romano Prodi, President of the EC, met Constantin Simitis, Greek Prime Minister. The discussions focused on the priorities of the Greek Presidency of the EU, which will start on 1 January 2003, the question of Cyprus, the future of Europe, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and the use of NATO forces in the framework of the European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP).
